POLI 278: Introduction to Political Science II (Rev. C7) Report a Broken Link

POLI 278 introduces students to some of the fundamental concepts and processes of political science, including political culture and political participation; electoral systems; political parties and elections; interest groups and social movements; political conflict; the role of the media in politics; political regimes; globalizing justice; and international relations. This course is the second in a pair of introductory political science courses. The first course, POLI 277, defines such basic concepts as politics, conflict, and power, and then indicates how these concepts relate to the basic institutions of government with a focus on liberal democracy.
