History 315/Women's and Gender Studies 315/Global Studies 315 is a three-credit, senior-level course that is designed to provide a chronological and thematic discussion of Asian women from ancient to contemporary times. The course emphasizes the dynamic but paradoxical impacts of colonization, globalization, and modernization on various aspects of women’s experiences. It also sheds light on the important issue of women’s agency.
