WGST 423: Mothering/Motherhood in the Real World (Rev. 3) Report a Broken Link

This course looks at motherhood and mothering within the context of Western society. Women’s experiences and personal identities as mothers are explored through a number of discrete topics that include the role of theory and popular culture in shaping contemporary mothering practice; issues affecting women’s choices to combine professional careers with mothering; public policies that work to constrain or reinforce mothering practice; the impact of poverty on mothering practice; mental well-being and motherhood; and how others outside the boundaries defining the “good mother” experience motherhood.

Before reporting a broken link, try these quick fixes:
  1. Click the link a second time. Sometimes browsers don't redirect properly the first time.
  2. Right-click on the link, and select Open Link in a New Private (or Incognito) Window. Private or Incognito mode gets around any issues with your browser’s stored cache and cookies. You can also try clearing your cache and cookies.
  3. Try a different browser. If a link doesn’t work in Chrome, it will often work in Edge, and vice versa.
